Performing Arts at Branston Community Academy
The course encourages learners to develop broad skills, knowledge and understanding of the performing arts using work related learning approaches and activities and reflecting current employment opportunities in the Performing Arts Industry. You will develop skills through a series of practical workshops, theatre visits and performance work, as well as planning a live event at your choice of venue. You will be expected to perform to a live audience at regular intervals throughout the course, as well as support performances as part of the production and administration teams.
It is expected that all candidates will have gained a minimum of Grade C at GCSE in Performing Arts, Drama or Music, or have shown interest, aptitude and skill be participation in extra-curricular performing arts events and workshops.
