Course description

Course content

On the Level 2 Diploma you will be taught through a mix of theory and practice with continual assessment.

This course will suit you if you have already developed a good foundation of skills and knowledge required to become a vehicle service technician and are ready to move to the next level. Included in the Level 2 programme is two weeks work experience placement.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs or equivalent at D grade or above to include maths, English and science.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this programme can provide the basis for progression to the Level 3 City & Guilds VRQ Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an Apprenticeship.

Further information

All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.
