Geography AS at St Boniface's RC College

Course description

At AS, all students will study core humanand physical geography. In each areaof study students will consider thevalues and attitudes of decision makers,consider their own values and attitudesto the issues being studied and supporttheir learning of ideas through the studyof specific case studies. Students willalso develop a variety of geographicalskills, including fieldwork on Dartmoorand at Slapton Ley for the A2 course,which will broaden and deepen existingknowledge and be employed with agreater degree of independence.Topics studied at AS Level are rivers,floods and management, coastalenvironments, energy issues andpopulation change.

Entry requirements

All A Level courses require at least 5 GCSEs at grade C, including English & Maths. Entry to courses is at the discretion of the Curriculum Leader.
