Motor Sport Level 2 Diploma at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This Motor sports course is suitable for you if you are already working in the industry or are looking to gain employment in it. It is a practical course that will help you to develop the technical skills needed to work on racing cars and road cars. To enter straight in at Level 2 good GCSE grades or previous experience will be needed.

Course content

You will learn about routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, component replacement and repair, engine and related components, steering and suspension and braking systems in our fully equipped workshops. You will cover 9 QCF units.

Entry requirements

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 1. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.

Assessment

You will be assessed using a range of practical tests, written theory assignments and coursework.
