Course content

If you are interested in what makes people tick, and the values which people choose to live by, then you will be pleasantly surprised by the Philosophy & Ethics GCSE Full Course.  It will offer you the opportunity to explore and discuss some of the key issues which affect people today.After completing the course you should be better informed, enabling you to think independently and debate issues more convincingly.  Philosophy & Ethics will offer you the chance to step into the shoes of people from different cultures and religions.One of the aims of the course is to improve students` crticial thinking skills, by using a variety of beliefs, ideas and opinions in order to stimulate existing debates.In the world of work, employers look for people with enquiring minds and an appreciation of different viewpoints.  If you would like to work with people as a health work, teacher, journalist, police officer, social worker or in leisure and tourism, then Philosophy & Ethics GCSE Full Course will give you a head start.

Entry requirements



For this GCSE you will study four sections of work:--  Thinking about God-  Thinking about Morality-  The Nature and Expression of Spirituality-  Religious Responses to Contemporary IssuesAt the end of two years you will sit two examination units of 1 3/4 hours each.
