Media Studies A Level at Macmillan Academy

Course description

This course will allow you to develop your interest in and appreciation of the media, through learning about its structure and function and exploring its platforms, audiences and developments. The course looks at contemporary media texts relating to television, film, e-media and print. Concepts such as representation, new digital media technologies, audience and institution are examined. You will create your own case studies collecting relevant media materials and developing your ability to analyse and interpret the media and consolidate this understanding in your own media productions.

Assessment

You will be assessed by examination and coursework.
