Chemistry at Bungay High School
Builds on knowledge gained through year 11 in topics such as atoms, bonds, reactions and the periodic table. This course also has an emphasis on the impact of chemistry on the environment. 20% of the course is assessed through practical work with 80% by examination.
For level 3 courses, the minimum requirement is 5 A*-C GCSE grades (normally including English and Maths) and a minimum of a grade C in the subject you wish to study. For some subjects including mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and modern foreigh languages you must have a minimum of a grade B. Condsideration will also be given to the manner in which you have worked during your GCSE course.
For level 2 courses there is no minimum entry requirement but you must have an aptitude for this type of study.
