Course content

5 days per week for 34 weeks plus 2 weeks work experience

  • Practical floristry, including a range of styles from around the world
  • Shop display and event decorating
  • Care and condition of fresh flowers and foliage
  • Costing fresh materials from wholesale and retail costs
  • CVs and business letters
  • Work experience

Entry requirements

You will need to attend an interview and have a satisfactory reference and Mathematics and English qualifications. 

All young people will continue to improve their skills in English and Mathematics while studying at the college. If you have lower than a C grade GCSE in Mathematics or English Language, you will be supported to work towards this level.

Future opportunities

Progression onto the Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Floristry; as a student or an apprentice are both available.
