Photography BTEC Extended Level 3 Diploma at Cleveland College of Art and Design

Course description

This wide ranging and innovative course will give students the opportunity to open the door to the creative world of photography.

Students will discover photography via a series of assignments specifically written to broaden their outlook. The list of potential subjects is almost endless, as are the learning prospects on this course.

Students explore the full range of darkroom and digital techniques, giving a thorough understanding of the possibilities of their uses. Alongside a technical understanding, research and experimentation is greatly encouraged. Students will also explore the work of photographers through educational visits and visiting photographers.

The expansion of student’s imagination and skills through exciting location and studio based workshops is also a major part of this dynamic course. Delivered by industry professionals and benefiting from industry standard equipment and studios, our students experience a truly grade one learning experience.

Entry requirements

A minimum of four or more GCSEs at C or above including maths and English at appropriate level, plus a portfolio of work.*

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the course will give you the qualifications and skills required to progress on to a range of Degree and Foundation Degree courses or to go directly into industry.
