Business Level 3 Diploma - 90 credit at Chichester College

Course description

This course provides the opportunity to study a wide range of business units and achieve a nationally recognised, vocationally relevant qualification. As well as the study of general business units, there will be the option to specialise in administration, finance, human resources, management or marketing. Students will develop their Functional Skills, undertake work placement and have the opportunity to participate in visits, residential and vocational projects with local employers

Course content

This is a one year course where the following core subjects will be studied: Unit 1 The Business Environment Unit 2 Business Resources Unit 3 Introduction to Marketing Unit 4 Business Communication With additional focus on key topics such as: • Business Accounting • Market Research in Business • Recruitment and Selection in Business • Creative Product Promotion. 

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSE passes at grade C or above including Maths and English, or completion of a recognised alternative qualification, such as BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business at merit level plus English and Maths GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent.

Assessment

You will be assessed by completing a range of assignments for each unit. These involve written assessments, presentations and roleplays which will allow you to practice key business skills in the process.

Future opportunities

This Diploma is designed to equip individuals with the skills required for
a range of roles within business. Successful completion of year one
allows for potential progression to a second year of study towards the
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.

Further information

Teaching will allow learners to receive in-class delivery as well as
using ICT to produce assignment work.
