Course description

This qualification will give you an introduction to how laws are made in the UK and how disputes are settled in the courts and the principles of criminal liability. The units you will study over 2 years will include an Introduction to Criminological Theories, Realities and Perceptions of Crime, Changing Awareness of Crime and The Crime Scene to Courtroom.
You will investigate the chain of evidence, and how court cases can be won or lost by how evidence is not only handled, but reported and analysed in the courtrooms.

Course content

Entry requirements

You will need to have a minimum of five academic GCSE subjects at grade C or above. These must include English Language and maths.

Assessment

You will be assessed through assignments and final examinations.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the A Level will allow you to continue your studies at University or seek employment in the legal professions.
