Apprenticeship Health and social level 2 at JFC Training College

Course description

This Apprenticeship covers a wide range of job roles on two pathways: the adult social care pathway and the health care pathway. Social care is about helping people with a particular need, such as the disabled, the elderly or people with learning disabilities. On the Health Care pathway, you could work in hospitals, the community, hospices or private clinics as a healthcare support worker or a healthcare assistant.

Course content

• Contribute to Health and Safety in Health and Social Care • The role of the Health and Social Care worker • Implement person-centered approaches in Health and Social Care • Principles of safeguarding and protection in Health and Social Care • Introduction to personal development in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s setting • Introduction to communication in Health and Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s setting • Introduction to duty of care in Health and Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s setting • Introduction to equality and inclusion in Health and Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s setting • Handle information in Health and Social Care settings

Assessment

A range of assessments will be an important part of this qualification, including observations in the work place, online testing, control assessments, oral questioning, professional discussions and assignments.
