Sociology A2 Level at Aylesbury College
This is the second year of the A Level Sociology course. The A2 Level is designed to deepen the knowledge you gained during the AS Level.
This course should encourage you to acquire knowledge and a critical understanding of contemporary social processes and social changes, whilst appreciating the significance of theoretical and conceptual issues in sociological debate. You will also develop skills that enable individuals to focus on their personal identity, roles and responsibilities within society.
Example modules Beliefs in Society Crime and Deviance with Theory and Method Stratification and Differentiation with Theory and Methods
Minimum grade D or above in AS-Level Sociology.
There will be a series of modular exams.
After you have completed the course, you will be able to consider progressing on to studies at University
There are a number of careers that you will be able to consider. These include Research, Teaching, Media and Civil Services.
