This course is designed to prepare the learner for a job in a high class kitchen or to update current skills to allow chefs to develop and improve their own establishment’s standards. 

You will specialise in professional cookery, an all-round Kitchen, Larder and patisserie qualification.

Entry requirements

NVQ Level 2 in a related subject (or equivalent), plus recent relevant work experience.

Financial information

You will be required to be in possession of a suitable set of knives and suitable chefs clothing and footwear. The usual cost of this is likely to be in the region of £140. 

The College catering staff will always be happy to give advice on this.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the NVQ level 3 should enable graduates to seek employment as a chef de partie in any high class catering establishment world-wide with the prospect of promotion to a senior or executive chef position.
