Spanish at Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre

Course description

This structure of the course aims to equip candidates learning Spanish as a foreign language with the skills to survive in a Spanish speaking environment. It also provides a stepping stone for university courses in Spanish or Hispanic Studies.

Students will gain further knowledge and understanding of this language in everyday life which will include: Media, Popular Culture, Healthy living/lifestyle, Family/Relationships (AS) and Environment, the Multicultural Society, Contemporary Social Issues and a Cultural Topic (A2).

Grade C GCSE in Spanish
