English Literature - A Level at Pool Hayes Arts and Community School

Course description

Brief Course Content

You will study a minimum of 4 texts, including at least one from prose, poetry, drama and Shakespeare.  In Year 13 you will continue to study further texts.  In both Years 12 and 13 you will need to produce an extended piece of coursework based on the comparison of at least 2 texts.


English A Level is accepted by all universities for a wide range of courses - banking, accountancy, law, advertising, education, civil service, etc.

Entry requirements

By Negotiation.

GCSE English and Literature at Grade C or above
