Travel and Tourism - BTEC Level 2 at The Coleshill School

Course description

Students who are interested in the Travel industry. Employment avenues available are Resort Representative, Customer Services in the industry, Retail/business travel agents, Airline Cabin Crew, Theme Park Operations, Passenger Transport, Cruise Liner, Tour Operator, Tourist Information.

Course content

The course will be made up of the following units:

  • UK Travel and Tourism industry
  • Exploring customer services
  • European Holiday destinations
  • Exploring marketing in Travel and Tourism
  • Developing employability skills in Travel and Tourism

Entry requirements

4 GCSE’s at grade D or above

Assessment

You will be assessed through a variety of methods. This will include a portfolio of assessed assignments, demonstration of learning in class and by practical work via customer care and travel service duties. You will also be assessed through role plays and oral presentation.
