Travel and Tourism BTEC Level 3 at The Ecclesbourne School

Course description

The Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a two year full-time programme which will provide you with an in depth knowledge of the Travel and Tourism industry, and the vocational skills required. This course is a practical, work- related course which is made up of six units: four core units and two specialist units. The course is designed to develop your personal skills, and your academic understanding of the Travel and Tourism industry. This course is broadly equivalent to one GCE at A2 level. As well as classroom learning, there will also be occasions when field trips are necessary.

The course is 100% coursework based with no external examinations. You will be assessed throughout this course by a variety of assessment methods including reports, role plays, case studies, presentations, leaflets, professional discussions and workbooks. You will produce both individual and group work that will be graded at Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. Grades in all of your units will lead to an overall grade for the qualification.
