BTEC Level 3 in Health and Social Care at Tewkesbury School

Course description

This qualification provides students with a range of skills and knowledge that can be readily applied in the workplace. For progression to employment within the Health & Social Care sector to be successful, it is vital that the students undertake work experience within a suitable care or education setting. This gives them understanding of the world of work to apply the theoretical aspects of the course delivered in the classroom.

Students are able to consider children, teenagers, adults and elderly clients within their units of work based on communication, development through the life stages, nutrition, health, safety and security through a practical approach. All the units are internally assessed, with pass, merit and distinction grades so there are no final exams.

5+ A*-C grades; C+ in GCSE English OR Maths
