AS/A2 Level Food Technology at Alleyne's Academy
Students will be able to develop their own design capability in order to produce high quality products. They will be taught to apply knowledge and understanding of food science in order to use materials and processes to best effect. The course consists of three units in the first year: Materials and Components; Design and Market Influences; Process and Manufacture. In the second year the following units are covered: Application of food science; Developing an understanding of new product development; Microbiological & quality control aspects of food production.
