Professional Cookery Apprenticeship Level 2 at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College

Course description

This apprenticeship will support you to begin your career working as a chef, a career that can take you anywhere.

This qualification covers a range of units including:

  • Prepare, cook and finish a range of basic dishes using fish, poultry, meat, game, shellfish and vegetables
  • Importance of food safety when storing, preparing and cooking
  • Safely use kitchen equipment
  • Develop productive relationships with colleagues

Entry requirements

Candidates need to achieve a minimum of XX in Maths & English skills assessment.

Assessment

This qualification will be assessed through exams as well as practical and in work assessment.

Future opportunities

This apprenticeship will be delivered through classroom and practical sessions in EHWLCs industry standard kitchens, one day each week during term time. Apprentices will be expected to self-study outside of the classroom and their working hours.
