Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College*
This framework is to develop knowledge and skills relating to the Principles of Business and Administration. It will benefit people with minimal experience of providing administrative assistance through to those who implement business support services. Level 3 learners develop a more comprehensive range of business skills including team supervision, innovation and project management.
There are a range of mandatory and optional units for the competence element which will be chosen in conjunction with the assessor, employer and apprentice. These will be directly relevant to the job role of the apprentice and assessed through a portfolio of evidence. Throughout the knowledge element, there will be mandatory units leading to a short online assessment for each unit.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although it is essential that the job role has a supervisory element.
The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete. Apprentices are required to complete their training within the workplace, where an assessor will visit them and support their progress through on-site assessment. An element of college attendance may be required which will be discussed with the assessor on induction.
On completion of the level 3 and with the correct level of employer support, learners can progress to the Higher Apprenticeship at Level 4 in Principles of Business Administration or onto a Management qualification such as the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management).
