Business Studies BTEC Diploma at Oaks Park High School
The 120 credit BTEC Diploma is designed to appeal to students interested in a career in business.
The course gives learners an introduction to and understanding of the business environment, management of resources, marketing and communication - all fundamental to the success of business organisation. The units covered enable a broad and balanced understanding
of the core topic areas needed in the business world. Students will study a range of units from market research, accounting and recruitment to law, enabling them to progress to employment or higher education in any of these areas. It is equivalent to two A-Levels.
Students may wish to extend their programme through the study of related A-Levels or Level 3 BTEC in other subjects e.g. Economics or Mathematics, but equally it combines well with Geography, Product Design and Music Production (amongst others). These
learning programmes have been developed to allow learners to study related and complimentary qualifications without duplication of content.
