Unit 1: Britain 1815-1865External examination, 50% of AS-level.This unit traces the key developments in British History from the Napoleonic Wars to the mid Victorian era. The study includes the impact of the French Revolution 1789, Irish History and how the working classes rose in power.


Unit 1: Britain 1906-51External examination, 50% of AS-levelThis unit examines and explores the major changes and developments in British politics and society including two World Wars, the General Strike, the Great Depression and the buildingof the Welfare State.


Unit 2: The Impact of Stalin’s Leadership on the Soviet Union External examination, 50% of AS-levelThis source-based unit examines the effect of Stalin’s rule on communist Russia up to the outbreak of WWII including topics on propaganda, the economy and the ‘Purges’.

GCSE History and English at Grade B or above
