Entry requirements

The Entry Requirement for English Literature is a minimum of a grade B at GCSE.

However, we will always consider individual cases on their merits and students with 5+ good GCSE C grades and above may be interviewed by the relevant Head of Subject staff member and/or one of the Leadership Group to assess their suitability for the course.

Assessment

A level:

Three exams – Drama (30%); Prose (20%); Poetry (20%) 

and coursework (20%) 

AS level:

Two exams – Poetry and Drama (60%) and Prose (40%)
