Construction Supervison Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is for those who are employed in the highways construction industry who are ready to take their first step into a supervisory role.

Course content

You will study developing and maintaining good working relationships, methods of confirming the occupational method of work, methods used to confirm work activities and resources for the work, methods of implementing and maintianing health, safety and welfare and how to co-ordinate and organise work operations. Ideal if you are employed in the construction industry and wish to progress from Level 2 and gain an in-depth knowledge of supervising work operations in the workplace.

Entry requirements

You should have a relevant Level 2 qualification and be employed in the construction industry.

Assessment

NVQ qualifications are assessed by qualified staff both in college and in the workplace, meaning you are observed in practical situations as well as having to collect evidence of your skills. Functional Skills certificates are assessed through a programme or work, assignments and some external tests.

Future opportunities

Once you have completed your Advanced Apprenticeship there may be opportunities for you to progress to Higher Education.
