AQA AS Religious Studies

Course content

AS Religious Studies is broken down into two topics.  The first topic looks at Religion and Contemporary Sociaty, and reflects on the role religion plans in society.  It also looks at some of the issues religious believers face in modern society.

The second topic is a study of world faith: Islam.  This looks at the key beliefs of Islam and how that impacts on those who are Muslims.

5 A*-C GCSEs, including English


You will sit two exams of 75 minutes

Religious Studies is an interesting subject for those who have a religious background and those who do not have a religious background. It examines all the big questions that people ask about what makes them human and what is the purpose of life.
