Mathematics GCSE Resit at Monks' Dyke Tennyson College

Course description

Mathematics is an important study area for everyone. The ability to be numerate, inquisitive and logical is vital to support us in all areas of life.

Course content

This retake course offers a chance for those students who missed a grade C in Mathematics to achieve this goal. The students will be initially entered for re-examination in January, but some may require the full year and will therefore sit in the May series. As time is limited, extracurricular work is required, lessons must be attended as they are at a premium and hard work is needed to access the fast-paced lessons. This course is compulsory for students who did not achieve a grade C GCSE in Year 11.

100% of the course is assessed through examination.

Future opportunities

It is a requirement to have GCSE Mathematics at grade C or above to access higher education or many forms of employment.
