Course description

What will I study? This course covers a range of topics in two units: Unit 1: Religion and Life Issues Religion and Animal Rights, the Planet Earth, Prejudice, Early Life, Young People, Religion and War and Peace Unit 2: Religion and Morality Religious attitudes to Matters of Life (medical ethics), the Elderly and Death, Drug Abuse, Crime and Punishment, Rich and Poor in British Society and Poverty.

Successful completion of KS3.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Religious Studies or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to religious studies or the more general social sciences such as a Social Worker, Teacher or Youth Worker. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
