French at King James I Academy

Course description

The topics covered are as follows:

AS - Media (TV, advertising, new technologies); Popular Culture (film, music, fashion); Healthy Living (sports, health and well-being, holidays); Family and Personal Relationships (family, friends, relationships)

A2 - Environement (pollution, energy, protection of the planet); The Multicultural Society (immigration, integration, racism); Contemporary Social Problems (poverty, public order, science and technology).

Students at A2 then cover 2 cultural topics of their chosing e.g. foreign cinema, a Francophone country, French literature etc.

Entry requirements

A grade C at GCSE is essential.A grade B is desirable.
