AS
This course allows students to follow a single pathway in Dance or Drama or Production. Alternatively you can combine a mixture of the above depending on the student’s skills and interest, below are the core units but these can interchange with a host of
optional units depending on the interest of the students.
Unit 1 Skills development in Performing Arts
Unit 2 Professional practice in Performing Arts
Unit 3 Community arts project
These are all coursework units, delivered in a practical way, students will need to keep a portfolio of evidence and have recordings via digital media.

Unit 5: Business of the Performing Arts
Unit 6: Performance workshop
Unit 8: Contemporary performance
These are all coursework units, delivered in a practical way, students will need to keep a portfolio of evidence and have recordings via digital media.

Interest in History, psychology, business and social context
Assessment
All units are internally assessed and externally moderated. Students are assessed through their practical skills development, performance outcomes, portfolio, digital evidence, extended research investigations and presentations.
