Course description

Digital Marketing is the use of digital media to attract and engage with current and potential customers, for example online advertising, email marketing, and search engine optimisation. A Digital Marketing Apprenticeship is an exciting new opportunity for learners to design a new website, advert or campaign and get involved in real life digital media projects. The apprenticeship will help you to develop skills in social media and digital marketing and how to best utilise these skills to grow the online presence of the company.  The apprenticeship will allow you to help build a business’ online brand and to build a customer base.

Course content

A sample of units, include:

  • Understand Legal, Regulatory and Ethical Requirements in Sales and Marketing
  • Imaging Software
  • Using Collaborative Technologies
  • Principles of Social Media within a Business
  • Marketing on Mobile Devices
  • Brand Development
  • Delivering e-Commerce Solutions

Entry requirements

  • Five GCSEs in the A* - C range or an appropriate level 2 qualification. 
  • The offer of an apprenticeship is given after a successful interview and a suitable employer placement has been found
  • A keen interest in IT and marketing and a willingness to learn new skills that will make you an asset to your employer

Assessment

  • Practical assessment 
  • Written coursework
  • Portfolio

On successful completion of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing you can progress up on to a range of Higher Apprenticeships including:

  • Higher Apprenticeship in Social Media and Digital Marketing
