Course description

An Apprenticeship in Hairdressing allows you to develop skills and train whilst working in the industry.

Entry requirements

  • 3 GCSEs grade D (1 English, 1 Maths and 1 other academic subject or equivalent. Employment in a salon is essential.

Future opportunities

  • Employment in the industry as a junior stylist
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 with further training in a range of specialist careers

Further information

All learners must be employed in the industry as an Apprentice.  Learners will be required to achieve Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 1 if necessary.  Attendance to college is mandatory but learners can be assessed in industry.

Hairdressing equipment, professional overall, text books and stationery equipment needed.
