Computing AS/A2 at Honiton Community College

Course description

On this course you will gain a theoretical understanding of how computers and networks operate and how software is written. Your exploration of computing science will start with the building of a PC and ultimately a functioning network. You will learn how to design software and program using contemporary high level languages. In your second year you will experience what it is to be a systems analyst; following methodologies proven in industry you will develop solutions to real world problems.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements to the course; although, a basic knowledge of ICT and Maths (GCSE grade C or above) is more than useful.
