Aspire to Further Education Entry Level/Level 1/Level 2 at Lancaster and Morecambe College

Course description

Aspire to… Further Education is designed for learners to sample different vocational areas and get help to choose a suitable career path. Aspire To… Further Education can also help people develop in confidence and progress towards employment or mainstream education. 

Course content

You will study the following:

• Team building activities

• Maths

• English

• ICT

• Vocational Sampling

• Work Experience (both individual and group)

• Working in The Community on various projects

All LMC students will receive tutorial support. 

Entry requirements

No qualifications required but a willingness to work towards a maths, English or IT qualification is essential. You must have commitment to your studies, enjoy working with people and be willing to undertake a range of college and community based activities.

Assessment

This course is continuously assessed using a range of methods including observation, examination and portfolio presentation.

What expenses are related to this course?

None. Although you may be asked to contribute a small amount of money towards out of college educational visits and activities.

What qualification will I get?

This depends on the length of stay on the course, but you will have the opportunity to take qualifications in maths, English and IT at various levels and a qualification in developing skills for employment.
