Psychology A2 at Immanuel College

Course description

Psychology is the study of mind and behaviour. As a subject which is not studied at GCSE, most students study psychology at AS level for the first time. Psychology has many branches and at AS and A2 you will study how we remember, human development, why we get stressed, and how we behave in groups. Like all A-levels, psychology is a challenging subject, but many find it fascinating and rewarding. A qualification in psychology has many future uses.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade C or above.C grade or above in GCSE English.C grade or above in GCSE Science.A high grade in GCSE maths would also be useful to study A2.

Assessment

Future opportunities

As well as training to be a psychologist, psychology is a useful subject to study if you areinterested in any career involving work with people, e.g. law, medical/nursing, business/humanresource management and management.
