Entry to the Uniformed Services NCFE Level 2 Diploma at Southport College

Course description

This course aims to develop the understanding of working within the uniformed services and also the careers within the uniformed services.
It also aims to enable the investigation into volunteering roles and the skills and qualities required to gain employment in the uniformed services.

Course content

You will explore a variety of topics including: 
Employment in the uniformed services
Physical fitness
Teamwork and problem solving
Health and safety
Health and Hygiene
Uniformed service routines
Equality and Diversity
Industry Practical Sport

Entry requirements

3 GCSEs at grade D including English language and maths or Level 1 Diploma in related subject
Successful interview and satisfactory reference

Assessment

You will be continuously assessed throughout the course through a series of assignments.

Financial information

Students will attend a wide range of Outdoor Activites, Visits and Residentials as part of the course and will be asked to pay a one off payment of £120 at the start of the course as a contribution towards the costs.

Students may purchase a course text book to use for independent study

Future opportunities

On successful completion of the course, you may progress on to Level 3 Public Services, Level 3 Policing or an Apprenticeship
