Childcare Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at Craven College

Course description

Advance from Level 2 on to the Childcare Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship and continue to build up the unique and important relationship childcare workers have with children. This qualification will allow you to provide a high standard of care and plan dynamic activities for children with confidence.

Enrol on the Childcare Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship and gain a nationally recognised qualification. You will gain huge job satisfaction from a career working with children. You will learn how to design educational and recreational activities, avoid conflict, handle difficult situations and understand the unique relationship that childcare workers have with children in their care. You can train for senior roles such as a nursery supervisor or nursery nurse and gain a nationally recognised qualification which will enhance your career opportunities.

Entry requirements

  • Employment within the industry 
  • Childcare Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2
  • 3 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) including English & Maths 
  • Clear (DBS)Disclosure & Barring Service check


An assessor will visit the workplace to assess your competence and help you build a portfolio of evidence. You will attend College on a day release basis.
