Sport BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Knowsley Community College

Course description

This exciting course has a wide range of units all linked to different careers in the sports industry. You will be involved in a mixture of practical and theory sessions, developing skills and techniques in preparation for the career of your choice. You will be given the opportunity to develop a range of skills including, time management, leadership, teamwork, self -discipline and self-confidence.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade C or above in appropriate subjects or equivalent (eg First Diploma at Merit or Distinction), including English or Higher Diploma grade A*

Financial information

All learners will need a lever arch file, plastic wallets, paper, pens and practical kit.

Future opportunities

At the end of your first year you will have completed a substantial number of units towards your two year programme, which will also provide you with a qualification that is recognised by employers and will carry UCAS points towards HE progression. You will build on these units in your second year of study at the college. Employment and education opportunities include, Teaching, Sports Nutrition, Sports Science, Fitness Instructor, Sports Coach, Sports Development Officer, Sports Therapist.
