Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles Level 3 Diploma at Oaklands College

Course description

Candidates will attend two days per week studying a selection of units which include Working Safely and Effectively during Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Foundation Skills for Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Light Vehicle Construction and Routine Maintenance Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Tyres, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Systems Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Engines Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Transmission Systems Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems Diagnosis on all the above.

Entry requirements

Completion of general education with GCSEs at grade C or above to include English, Maths, Science or IT, plus completion of Level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle studies. After your application is processed you will be required to attend an interview.

Suitable for candidates who wish to make a career in the motor vehicle industry or further their studies from level 2 Motor Vehicle

Assessment

In order to pass each qualification, candidates must demonstrate its learning outcomes by following 3 assessment components IMI Awards Practical Assessments IMI Awards On-line External Testing IMI Awards Phase Tests A minimum of 60% of each units learning outcomes must be achieved by the candidate completing practical activities in a workshop based environment.

Financial information

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
