Media Studies AS/A2 Level at Chichester High Schools Sixth Form

Course description

 

AS Year:

For the coursework portfolio students will produce two practical productions from a series of set briefs including print and video. Particular attention will be given to students’ evaluation of their work. Study for Unit 2 will centre on television drama and an investigation into two media industries currently film and music.

A2 Year:

Production work for the advanced portfolio will see a progression for skills obtained at AS level. Students will produce practical work combining two or more media from a series of set briefs to include video,music, film and print.

For Unit 4, students will study two media areas currently; ‘Media in the On-line Age’ and ‘The Media and Democracy.

A2 Unit 3: Advanced Portfolio (Coursework)

A2 Unit  4: Critical Perspectives

 

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above with a grade B in Media Studies
