Animal Management (Level 3) - Zoos at Askham Bryan College
This pathway is designed to prepare learners for a career within zoos or other similar establishments, working with collections of animals such as those found in farm parks and other commercial settings. This course includes lectures at both the College Campuses and Flamingo Land Zoo.

Level 3 Study Programmes:
4 GCSEs at grade 4 (old GCSE grade C) or above to include 2 from English, Maths and Science with at least a grade 3 (old GCSE grade D) in the remaining subject. Alternatively a suitable Level 2 vocational qualification (Merit or above) with English, Maths and Science at Level 2
Your timetable will include a mixture of practical work and classroom (theory) sessions. Vocational programmes are normally assessed through a variation of programme assignments, practical assessment and formal time constrained assessments/examinations.

Further study: Higher Education qualifications such as degrees or Higher National Diplomas in related subjects (including animal management, animal science or zoo management).
Careers: Positions such as zoo keepers, farm park wardens, bird keepers, breeders and careers in aquariums and petting zoos.
