Skills for Working Life - Land-based (Animals) (Entry 3) Diploma at Northumberland College
This course is for students of all ages who seek an entry level course that will recognise vocational skills and interest below the occupational competence of level 1. It would be ideal for students who have particular learning difficulties who are interested in learning about animal care and equine.
You will study exciting units including: You will study topics such as small animal care, Introduction to Farm Animals, Introduction to Horses as well as preparation for work, functional skills and personal social development. Everything you need to help you choose what to do next.
You will need to have interest in working with animals, but no formal qualifications are necessary
Your progress will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence plus practical assessments. This is evidence that you can do the tasks involved and your tutor will help you with this.
After completing the course you could progress and study a level 1 course in relevant subject area.
