Further Mathematics A Level at The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School

Course description

In this course you can expect to build on and extend your knowledge and understanding of Pure Maths, Mechanics and Statistics. Some students may also study some aspects of Decision Maths. The course introduces new topics such as matrices and complex numbers that are vital in many STEM degrees and students who have studied Further Mathematics find the transition to such degrees far more straightforward. Studying Further Mathematics will also consolidate and reinforce your standard A-level Mathematics work, helping you to achieve your best possible grades.

Course content

50% Pure Maths

Possible Options: Mechanics and Statistics and/or Decision Maths. 

Entry requirements

GCSE Grade 7 in Maths plus this course must be combined with Maths A Level. 

Assessment

All assessment is by external examinations at the end of the course.
