Candidates will attend two days per week studying the following units Working Safely and Effectively during Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Foundation Skills for Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Light Vehicle Construction and Routine Maintenance Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Tyres, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Systems Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Engines Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Transmission Systems Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems

Course content

Oaklands can boast an impressive list of professional experts as part of their Motor Vehicle and Engineering team. This year, your teachers will include people who have wide and varied kmowledge of the motor vehicle industry.

Entry requirements

Completion of general education with GCSEs at grade E or above to include English, Maths, Science and preferably IT. All applications are subject to interview.

Suitable for candidates who wish to make a career in the motor vehicle industry.

Assessments will be taken throughout the programme

Financial information

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

Future opportunities

Progression and achievement can mean either continuing in further education on the level one / two program or lead to employment.
