Horse Care Level 2 Diploma at Cirencester College
Horse Care will give you the chance to develop a range of real employability skills as well as the personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in a working life with horses. There is a huge and varied range of local opportunities for work in the equine sector. This one year Level 2 Diploma offers routes into employment or progression on to selected Level 3 Diplomas.
The course is highly practical and the emphasis is on enabling students to gain as much hands-on experience as possible; students are involved in the day-to-day caring of the horses in the yard. we welcome anyone who wishes to explore the possibility of working with horses or who is interested in studying equine-related subjects in higher education, such as Horse Psychology or Equine Science.
The course is taught predominantly from a private yard which houses a variety of horses: ex-racehorses, eventers and show jumpers. If you are considering either a career in the equine sector or a related higher education pathway, then this course will be of great value. This course also acts as an ideal foundation for students wanting to progress on to a vocational Level 3 course in Horse Management.
