Performing and Production Arts (Musical Theatre) Level 2 Diploma at Stratford-upon-Avon College
Do you enjoy singing, dancing and acting? The Level 2 Diploma in Musical Theatre is ideal for you. This practical, performance-related course will give you an insight into the career of a music theatre performer.
Study will combine both practical and theoretical subjects helping you to develop your techniques in three areas: singing, dancing and acting, as well as your knowledge of musical theatre from the perspective of a director/choreographer, an audience member, a producer and a performer.
You will need to have at least:
- 2 GCSEs at grade D / grade 3 or above including English Language, or;
- 2 GCSEs at grade D / grade 3 or above and Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English, or;
- Level 1 qualification in a relevant vocational subject and either GCSE English Language at grade D / grade 3 or above or Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English.
Mature students without formal qualifications who show commitment to the subject area may join the course following a successful interview and audition.
You will be assessed through the completion of assignments and performance-related projects throughout the course. Attendance and application in all areas is essential for successful completion.
