Course Description

The Psychology course is designed to provide a broad introduction to the nature and scope of Psychology as a science. The emphasis is not only on deepening your knowledge of the subject but it also focuses on developing transferable skills in analysis, evaluation and critical thinking.

What will you be learning?

The course consists of the following content:

  • Cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and research methods
  • Biological psychology, social psychology and individual differences
  • Topics in psychology
  • Psychopathology, psychology in action and research methods

Entry requirements

To start an AS Level course you should achieve at least 5 grade Cs at GCSE including BTECs. To start a Level 2 course, 4 GCSE passes are required. All courses expect a high level of commitment and hard work.
