Bench Joinery Level 2 Apprenticeship at Harrogate College

Course description

When not attending College the apprentice will be working on site.
Course covers: 
Year 1:- Health & Safety Practice, Use of Hand Tools, Use of Power Tools, Fitting Ironmongery, Architraves/Skirting boards, Doormaking/hanging, Tool sharpening, Window frames, Information/quantities, Communication.
Year 2:- Manufacture doors, door frames, stairs, cabinets, windows, panelling, and Use of circular saws.
Will also be required to collect site evidence from the workplace in various areas.

Entry requirements

None. Initial assessment will be conducted in College prior to commencement of Apprenticeship.

Future opportunities

Achievement of this qualification provides opportunities to progress to further qualifications such as Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Bench Joinery (Advanced Apprenticeship).
