Hairdressing Level 2 Apprenticeship·        

As a Hairdressing Apprentice you’ll start out in a salon as an assistant to the senior stylists. Your role is likely to include duties such as shampooing and conditioning, booking appointments, progressing to styling, colouring and cutting

You will receive a wage equal to at least the National Minimum Apprenticeship Rate.

As an apprentice, you will be expected to be presentable and able to cope with spending long periods on your feet. You will also need to be able to work Saturdays and at least one weekday evening.

Good communication plays a role too, you will need to be sensitive to peoples wishes and respects whilst maintaining creative skill and flair

Course content

Day release to the training school will enable you to have a half day delivery of theory and a half day of practical each week.

Entry requirements

A keen interest in the hairdrsseing sector. Preferable to have 2 A-D GCSE's


Assessments will take place in the training school and in salon.

Future opportunities

On completion of Level 2 you can progress to level 3
